Meet the Founder

Michelle Boren, founder of SacredLee

Michelle Boren founded SacredLee as a prayer of gratitude—

A vessel for community, and a safe, sacred space for women to reconnect with their hearts, bodies, and minds.

For years, Michelle moved through life disconnected from her roots, power, and deepest self. She struggled with health and environmental sensitivities. She allowed the external world to define her worth and shape her identity.

SacredLee is the story of how she reclaimed her life, step by painful step. How she turned illness into motivation. How she turned heartbreak into a prayer, shame into grace, and wounds into wisdom. How she rediscovered the pragmatic simplicity of her Midwestern roots.

Michelle is a weaver of stories, a connector of hearts, and builder of community. Her home is the heart of her ecosystem— a place where deep connections are forged and nurtured, where friends and family are fed, and where honesty and self-inquiry are encouraged. She has designed SacredLee in this same spirit of homecoming, a testament to the power of coming back to oneself.

A Letter from Michelle

Dear Friends,

A sacred life isn't about perfection—it's about presence. For so long, I carried the weight of self-betrayal, punishing myself for choices I didn't even remember choosing. My journey toward SacredLee taught me to stop seeing myself as broken—and start seeing myself as whole. Choosing love over fear, truth over illusion, and mercy over judgment. It's meeting each moment, especially the hard ones, with enough grace to transform it into something meaningful.

As a child growing up in the Midwest, I was often held back by my health. My lungs didn't match my spirit. My immune system left me struggling with recurring hives and loud, unexplained symptoms. At 23, preeclampsia risked both my life and my newborn's son. The NICU became our unlikely home for five weeks. I was a single mother—scared, exhausted, and deeply alone.

Buying my first home at 26 in South Florida—with no safety net—was a major milestone in my self-confidence. However, the dream quickly unraveled. Black mold had seeped into the walls and our bodies. That chapter changed everything. I began researching the toxins in our homes, food, products, and clothing. Protecting our physical health became my entry point into the deeper work of healing.

But the true healing—emotional and spiritual—came years later. Divorce stripped away the scaffolding of my life and exposed the quiet compromises I'd been making for far too long. I was stuck in a cycle of caretaking—tending to everyone but myself— I came from a long line of women who lived in self-sacrifice, and I had unknowingly taken on their unspoken rules. I silenced my needs, afraid that speaking them would render me too much.

“Our struggles, when honored, become our medicine.”

My truth only surfaced in moments of sacred rage, when the weight of emotional suppression became too heavy. A deep and ancient ache carried through generations. The unspoken cry of every woman told to be “good” rather than authentic.

Beneath the ache and anger was grief.

But I've learned something sacred: our grief can become the soil from which something beautiful begins to grow. Our struggles, when honored, become our medicine. Our deepest fears, when faced, open gateways for change.

This is the sacred journey.

Somewhere along the way I've been gifted with sacred surrender, sacred compassion, and a deeper self-love than I knew possible.

Our emotional and spiritual well-being are just as vital to our health as the environments we live in. When we begin to honor ourselves, it doesn't just heal us—it heals everyone around us.

Now I carry these truths forward—not as wounds, but as light.

SacredLee is a reminder that the sacred can be found anywhere, even in the mess. Every time I choose presence over perfection, a little part of me is restored. That healing radiates outward—to my children, my friends, my community.

This is the heartbeat behind SacredLee: to create a wider circle for women at every stage of life—whether you're navigating chaos or clarity, feeling fractured or fully whole. Wherever you are, you belong.

With love,
